The Adventures of Our Family

A chronicle of our lives and how each day is an adventure when you are in the ministry and have a house full of boys. There is never a dull moment and I don't want to forget any of them!

Not a Little Boy Anymore

Who knew that my world would change when Levi turned 4 years old? No one warned me about this. It seems that at the age of 4, the world decides that my little boy is no longer a little boy. He now goes to Sunday School, Junior Church, Wednesday evening children's program (which he started at 3), and the big one...sits in the Sunday evening service. "Is he in school?" "Where will you send him to preschool?" "Is he doing T-ball?" SLOW DOWN! He was just born a few months ago...he can't possibly be almost ready for his driver's license. I love that little boy so much and I can't imagine the next 4 years going by as fast as the past four have - I need to take more pictures, write more blogs, spend more time with my little man. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me? (I'll have pictures from Levi's birthday up soon - they were taken with Pop-Pop's camera, not mine).

Jess,

We received a lot of rain during the night and morning so there was no painting this morning. They are painting a classroom right now. It looks great! When you talk to Caleb on the phone ask him if he is wearing sunscreen :) His mom and I have mentioned it and now he says, "All I need is Jess to remind me..." He is quite red. Had great seafood yesterday at the same place on the beach. Wish you were here.

I feel the same way about our oldest daughter! It sounds like your church is a little more accomodating to young children though---at our church the kids start Sunday School, Children's Church & Wed. night classes when they turn 2. All of that has been great because Emaleigh loves going to class but the Sunday evening service gets VERY long when there's not a class for the kiddos. Emaleigh will be 3 the end of April and it's hard to believe she could be in my preschool class soon. Yikes! Where does the time go? I have to admit, though, that I was just thinking this morning that I am glad that she is growing up so that she can help more when the new baby comes...hopefully #2 will be walking by the time #3 appears!

Jess,
I feel the same way about Aidan. He's just growing up a little too fast. He's always been a big guy (from birth) but now he's becoming a little kid instead of my baby. Once he starts walking, it'll be all over with. I can only imagine how I'll be feeling when he turns 4! He looks like he's happy and healthy though! Good job Mom! :)

Love,
Angela

P.S. I posted a photo slideshow of Aidan's first birthday on my website: www.myspace.com/richnangela
